2024 All Wrapped Up!
And just like that, 2024 is all wrapped up. I don’t know about you but this year feel like I blinked and all of a sudden I’m Christmas shopping and wrapping presents in front of B-grade Christmas movies, ready to close up shop for the holidays.
When I sat down to write my yearly wrap up, I will admit I drew a bit of a blank. Unlike a lot of years in the past, in 2024 Bach Hair didn’t participate in any major competitions or industry events. But my sojourn down memory lane reminded me of the wonderful things we have been achieving in our Bach Hair bubble. Which is much more fun in my opinion!
So join me while we look back at some of the fun adventures of Team Bach, right here in Red Hill, Brisbane!
21 Years!
We are so fortunate at Bach Hair to have a vast number of our team stay with us for much of their career. This year we celebrated the epic service of OG Bach team member Carmel. With 21 years at Bach Hair under her belt, we had to do something special in her honour! We all had so much fun at the team dinner at Donna Chang!
Carmel has played many roles in her Bach journey. From senior stylist to manager to head educator, we are so fortunate to have such an intelligent, talented, hard working and creative person in our salon. Our apprentices are so lucky to have Carmel as their educator! We are looking forward to what the future holds for Carmel at Bach Hair as it sure to be spectacular!
Milestone’s
We had a few exciting milestones in 2024. After our exciting celebration of Carmel, we have had two big birthdays. Our Creative Director Sarah (aka me!) turned 40, which just goes to show pink hair is fabulous at any age! Our second big birthday was Aria, our school based apprentice turning 18!
Aria had more big news this year. Her school days are officially wrapped up! We are so proud of Aria on completing her year 12 certificate and we now welcome her as a full time apprentice. Our last big milestone is senior stylist Samara getting engaged! We wish her all best for the planning of her dream wedding, and we can’t wait to do some wedding hair!

We love to reward our biggest advocates here at Bach Hair. 2024 saw us give away one of our biggest ever rewards, free hair for an entire year! To enter, our clients recommended a friend to experience Bach Hair for the first time with the major prize going to the person who recommended the most new clients to us.
We congratulate our winner Susan again and we thank all of our loyal clients who continue to support us year after year. You may not have been this winner of this competition but you are all always winners to us!
Hairdressing is Our Superpower
Our most recent advertising campaign was a bit of a scary one for all our team. Instead of being behind the scenes creating beautiful hair, we all stepped in front of the camera and became models! I am so proud of the team for putting themselves out there and giving it their all, the photos looked absolutely incredible. Celebrate Good Times!
We are so lucky to have our team here at Bach Hair. This year we welcomed 4 new members to our team and we are so proud of how they have all integrated into the Bach family, its like they have always been with us! Thanks Mollie, Tahlei, Caylin and Annabelle for being a part of the team, we love you!

2024 was a big year! It has been a pleasure and a privilege to be your Bach Hair correspondent this year. Next year, there are a few changes happening to this very blog! So say goodbye to Behind The Curtain Bangs. I will be back in 2025 with a new theme – Ask A Hairdresser – a fortnightly blog and podcast where I (and my ‘The Snip It’ pod co host Ashley!) answer all your burning hair questions.
And that’s it for 2024! I’m off to go drink some of the lovely champagne I was lucky enough to be gifted. This really is the greatest job in the world!
